  Sigiriya is located in the vicinity of Kimbissa village in the Matale district of the central province of Sri Lanka. Sigiriya, about 200 meters high is a natural creation. This sigiriya is also known as Alakamandawa, Sinhapura, Giri balakotuwa, Sinha balakotuwa, Sinhagiriya, sinha balapura and sinha parvathaya. Sigiriya means Lion Rock. The original entrance to the fort was in the shape of a lion. Sigiriya is also mentioned in folklore as a fort built by king kashyapa.                  Sigiriya has also been declared a world heritage site and is an archeological site belonging to the cultural triangle. Sigiriya is divided into several parts. Namely sigiriya rock and the palace on it, water parks, gardens and moats can be shown.               Accordingly, some of the most attractive places in sigiriya. Namely mirror wall, paintings, lion lift, royal palace, fort wall, Buddhist monastery, stone arch etc...

 The tower hall theater hosted a drama competition between schools in sri Lanka. That was in 2018. A drama troupe from our school also participated in it and we were able to win the first provincial competition. Accordingly, we were able to represent the all Island school drama competition.            There were about twenty five people in our group playing and performing. We performed the play sirisangabo. I joined the cast to play the role of a prince there. We had final at the tower hall theatre. About nine teams were selected for the final. However, we all performed very well. Although we could not win, we were able to win the award for the best background design and the award for the best costume design. However, it was a valuable experience for all of us to be able to perform a play on such a stage.

 My favourite sport is volleyball. Volleyball is a competition between two teams of six players, one on each side of a net. These marks should be obtained according to an accepted set of rules. Normally points are scored by the opponent throwing the ball to the field. This is a weakening of the opposition. Volleyball is also the national sport of sri lanka. It has been named since 1991.  The highest governing body here is FIVB. It was first played on February 9 1895 at Holyoke USA. This was in the early days of William G Morgan called it Mintonet. William G Morgan  is considered the founder of the sport of volleyball.  My favourite musician is kasun kalhara. Kasun kalhara jayawardhana was born on 03.11.1981. He is a sri lankan singer and musician. His parents are Malani Bulathsinhala and H.M Jayawardhana. He was a student of premasiri khemadasa and a member of khemadasa's opera orchestra. Kasun kalhara's artistic career began in 2000 with Indra Chapa Liyanage. Accordingly, kasun kalhara successfully performed several musical performances such as " kasun kalhara live in concert, kasun kalhara unforgettable live in concert, The Black Red White concert, The Romantic Opera."  In addition, he has produced three albums during his career, Green valley, Radical Love, Romantic Opra.             As songs he sang with other singers. Adara mal wala (with Chapa), Adare (with kushani sandareka), Ahasin Aha (with Uresha Ravihari), Egilenna oba akka akase, Madhu Chandrayame, Rathriya Manaram (with Nirosha Virajini).                 ...

 One of my favourite musical instruments is the tabla. The tabla is the main percussion instrument of north Indian ragadhari music. This was created by a musician named Amir kushru. It is based on the musical instrument pakhvaj. The tabla consists of two parts. That is as Baya and Daya. The Baya part is made of metal and the Daya part is made of wood. These two parts are different from each other. The surface of both parts is made of animal skins. There are also six major tabla schools in India. These are Lucknow Gharana, Banaras Gharana, Ajarada Gharana, Delhi Gharana, Farrukhabad Gharana, Punjab Gharana.                There are also several key elements of a tabla player. They can be  shown as Teka, Kayada, Palta, Gat, Mukhada, Paran, Thihai, Chakradar, Lehera.

 In 2017 we held an art festival at the school. The art festival was named as sandagath pinidiya. We had been preparing for it for about a month. At that time we were studying in grade 12. Work was assigned to all grades of the school. Teachers also participated. Our grade was given to build a village. We worked there during the day as well as at night. It was a new experience for us and a very fun time.                On the day of the art festival, each grade presented their creations. Students from other schools as well as other people were given the opportunity to watch it.            In addition, various competitions were held among the students of our school. There I won the first place in the senior simple singing category and the third place in the senior folk singing category.
